July 4th

4th of July we went to Greg's Aunts house then when it got dark we went with Dad and Mother to the fair grounds to watch the Mena firework show. We met the Hawley's and the Herr's there too. They put on a real good show for a small town. The boys had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from that night

The Air Show

We went to the air show in Fort Smith. They had all sorts of planes and helicopters for the boys to see.

The big hit was the Thunderbirds and the Golden Knights.

There was a big demonstration on how they rescue soldiers behind enemy lines with black hawk helicopters and and A1's flying around dropping bombs on the enemy trying to get to our soldiers. It was pretty cool... the boys really liked the big fire balls from the bombs.

Alex turns 2

For Alex's Birthday I made a bathtub cake for him. He thought it was great. The best part was when you pushed on the duckies head it wiggled up and down like real water. (c:

Lum and Abner

In the first week of June our town has a big festival called Lum and Abner. There are craft vendors and booths all over the park, a car show, lumber jack and fireman demonstration and, live music from local bands and singers.

We had to man the booth for the RC airplanes. Greg is the vice president of the Flying club here in town.

This is my sister in law Lana singing at the festival. She is really good.

Bunks for the Boys

We were quickly running out of room for sleeping arangements in our one bedroom house. So Greg built this wonderful set of triple bunks for the boys. They really love their new beds! Also each of the beds have their names carved on it. The boys think that is very cool.

Spring Time!!

Wow look it is Spring!! I am so happy to start seeing the pretty flower that spring brings. I've been having fun with my camra and its ability to take such close up pictures. My creeping flocks are just gorgeous this year and I have a few varieties of daffodils that I planted last year come up.

Boys, Branches, and Burning

The Boys and I were doing some spring clipping. I cut the brush and they drag it to the burn pile. They are all great little helpers. Wow! looks like Alex's stick is on fire! Just kidding. (c:

My little Man

Alex is 1 1/2 yr. old now. He is soo cute!!

A White March

We were quite surprised by this last minute snow storm that has swept through our valley. The boys and I spent all day building a two room snow castle because the electric was out all day. The snow was 12 inches deep!! The boys thought that not having any electric was quite and adventure. They ran around the house looking at all of the candles that we had lit.

The fist snow in March

This was our first snow in March we got seven inches. What was really weird was that in was raining the night before and we had no clue it was going to snow. We woke up the next morning to the whole yard covered in snow. We were amazed. I woke Aaron up in the morning and brought him to the window and I said, "What is it?" He said, " I don't know" and he just laughed and smiled. They couldn't wait to get out there and play. Poor Alex could hardly walk in it. So he just stood there most of the time and watched the rest of us. Greg got out and helped the boys build a "Gentleman" snowman. Later I gave him a wife. (c:
